"The Garden" is an "altered acrylic" digital painting that started off as an acrylic abstract of color, form, and texture on canvas. The colors used were chosen for their vibrancy, inspired by my current mood of creative involvment.
When altered digitally, I discovered a delightful garden of color and form, a liveliness in contrast with the winter months ahead.

I have been making marks on blank surfaces since I could hold a pencil in my little hands. While the little girls in Kindergarden played house, I spent time at the easel and in my own world. My education has always centered around art - special projects and Saturday classes throughout elementary and junior high school, majoring in Commercial Art in High School, and working toward a degree in Graphic Design at Tyler School of Art/ Temple University. I have been painting formally since 2006. I have enjoyed exploring techniques in acrylic textured painting. I am also a bit of a computer nerd so playing with light and color excites me as well.
